The World of Work Careers Centre would like to congratulate their Employer Engagement team for winning a prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) award.
The ceremony, considered the Higher Education communities’ ‘Oscars’, commended LJMU three times on the night – making the University as successful as The Godfather, To Kill a Mockingbird and Jurassic Park.
The Employer Engagement team won their award for their work alongside the Sound City conference in 2015, the team’s work saw 55 students gain a total of 240 days work experience with music industry heavyweights from 29 countries.
Working as reporters, events organisers and videographers LJMU students played a pivotal role in the success of the conference and the students gained crucial insider knowledge, contacts and experience to help them accelerate into the jobs market.
