2020 graduates: you have overcome the unexpected – you have been agile, you have risen to the extraordinary challenges of the pandemic and you have completed your studies in difficult circumstances, completely outside of your control and we applaud you.
Our message to graduates is that now is the time to consider your game plan; it might be reimagined from the original plan and it may include more learning but that’s OK! In fact, it’s a very, very good idea to look at new ways to up-skill and to build your profile that stands out, enhances your degree and maybe sparks an idea that you haven’t previously considered.
We know that targeted support is needed to help you prosper and take your next steps so Liverpool John Moores University is delighted to announce a new partnership with Google Digital Garage, offering a series of skills workshops via live webinar.

The first mini series of webinars take place next month, kicking off with Find Your Career Goals when you will identify what matters to you about your work and set goals and routes to achieve job fulfilment. On day 2, Build your Personal Brand helps you to define your personal brand; build and protect your brand online and increase your online visibility for job seeking and professional development.
15th September, 3.30-4.30pm: Find Your Career Goals (1 hour)
16th September, 3.30-4.30pm: Build your Personal Brand (1 hour)

The third in this mini series is Google’s #IamRemarkable – we can often be shy when it comes to promoting ourselves in our best light. Shyness, being overly modest, imposter syndrome, there’s many reasons why you might feel that you shouldn’t shout about your achievements but you are remarkable and this workshop helps you develop the skills to shine a light on your individuality and be able to stand out in your personal and professional life.
29th September, 1.30-4pm: #IamRemarkable (2.5 hours)

We really encourage you to hop onboard for all of these sessions that are provided free to individuals and businesses in the UK to help people find a job, grow their skills, careers or businesses from home.
