A good presentation can be a game changer for your start-up business, idea pitch or research pitch but how can you create engaging presentations so you avoid the dreaded “death by PowerPoint”? We’ve all sat through some dull presentations that we wished we could fast forward.
You want your presentations to be impactful and memorable but how? Using a bit of storytelling can help your audience to visualise the place that you want to take them to. If you have watched any TED Talks, you will know that their strapline is “ideas worth spreading” and their speakers have nailed the art of the opener, the crucial content in the middle and ending on a return to the opener (a reminder of why they are presenting) and maybe a call to action. This can be done with presentations and it’s an art that you can practice and improve on constantly but if you want help to get going, we’ve got an online workshop lined up for you today, Thursday 8th October, in partnership with Google Digital Garage.
Building Engaging Presentations is a 1-hour workshop that will help you learn how to structure a presentation to tell the story you need to get across and the skills to help you present confidently.
Join us and the trainers at Google Digital Garage from 3-4pm today, Thursday 8th October, and build your presentation skills. You will get the chance to ask questions, talk to the team and meet other LJMU students who are looking to increase their confidence for pitching.
