On Wednesday 27 January, the Careers, Employability and Enterprise Team organised a virtual employer event, where students had the chance to hear from three professionals who were working in the field of physiotherapy and nutrition. The recordings of some of these presentations are now available for students to watch.
Angela Clucas, an LJMU graduate of the MSc Sports Nutrition, spoke about her work as a self-employed nutritionist and what this involves. In her inspiring presentation, she gave students advice about setting up a business and she described the support which she has previously accessed from LJMU’s Centre for Entrepreneurship. Her PowerPoint presentation is available to access and the full recordings of her presentation can be viewed here.
Liam Parkinson, an LJMU Sport and Exercise Science graduate talked about how he managed to secure a place on the MMU MSc Pre-registration Course in Physiotherapy. He then gave details about what this course involves, and about his work as a trainee physiotherapist. His powerpoint presentation is available to view, and the full recording of his talk can be accessed here.
Emma Langan, a Diabetes Specialist Dietitian at St Helens and Knowsley NHS Teaching Hospital also delivered a presentation about past and current job roles. She gave students an insight into how she gained entry to this career path.
